GGC has been rated as a well-supported practice because at least 2 studies with non-overlapping samples carried out in usual care or practice settings achieved a rating of moderate or high on design and execution and demonstrated favorable effects in a target outcome domain. At least 1 of the studies demonstrated a sustained favorable effect of at least 12 months beyond the end of treatment on at least 1 target outcome.
About the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse
The clearinghouse was established by the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to conduct an objective and transparent review of research on programs and services intended to provide enhanced support to children and families and prevent foster care placements. The Clearinghouse reviews evidence on mental health, substance abuse prevention and treatment, and in-home parent skill-based programs and services, as well as kinship navigator programs.
