DESCRIPTION:REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT\nOne of the most exciting applications 
 of the Science of the Positive is in the developing body of research aroun
 d positive experiences as a counterbalance to the harmful effects of ACEs 
 (Adverse Childhood Experiences) across the lifespan. This ongoing research
  is transforming how we address the prevention and mitigation of trauma an
 d opening new avenues for increasing community and individual health and w
 ellness. This session will include:\n\n 	The latest data on the impacts of
  positive experiences on child and adult health outcomes\, and\n 	Implicat
 ions for how this emerging science can help bring even greater health and 
 wellbeing to you and the people you serve.\n\nOBJECTIVES\n\n 	Define the c
 omponents and key elements of the Science of the Positive Framework for pr
 imary prevention.\n 	Describe the latest scientific research on health &am
 p\; wellbeing outcomes related to positive experiences across the lifespan
 \n 	Apply the science behind positive experiences and health in your servi
 ce to individuals\, families\, workplaces\, communities and the broader so
 ciety\n\nFACILITATORS\nCarla Ritz\, Managing Director\, The Montana Instit
 ute \n\nCarla Ritz is the Managing Director at The Montana Institute. Wit
 h over 18 years of experience working coast-to-coast as a nonprofit leader
 \, convener\, early childhood and prevention advocate\, and innovator\, Ca
 rla brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her role. Before joining t
 he Institute\, she served as the Executive Director for First 5 Lake Count
 y in Northern California\, where she collaborated at the county\, regional
 \, and state levels to reduce ACEs by applying the principles of the Scien
 ce of the Positive. Carla holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Univ
 ersity of Arizona and is currently finishing a Master’s of Education in 
 Organizational Leadership &amp\; Learning from The George Washington Unive
 rsity\, set to graduate in May of 2025.
